Services

Physical Access:

• The Sault College Library is spread out over three levels. It is equipped with an appropriate ramp from the first level to the second, and an elevator that permits access from the first to the third level. The elevator requires a key and is located in the staff workroom. Please ask staff for assistance.
  
  
• Countertops are at desk as well as standing height at the Circulation/Service desk.
  
  
• Online Public Access Catalogues are also found at desk as well as standing height to enhance accessibility.
  
  
• Library staff are available to assist patrons who require assistance photocopying or are unable to physically retrieve items from the collection.
  
  
• Guide animals are welcome.
  
  
• Within the limitations of the existing Library facility, the Library will strive to ensure that facilities are accessible. Problem areas in the facility will be identified, tracked and resolved as resources permit.

Staff Assistance

• Library staff are available to assist patrons who require assistance photocopying or are unable to retieve items from the collection.  Requests for assistance should be directed to the Circulation Desk.
  
  
• Library tours are available by appointment any time of the year.  Contact library@saultcollege.ca or 705-759-2554 ext. 2711.
  
  
• Library staff are available to help with all circulation issues as well as Reference services.  We are happy to assist with search strategies and/or how to use library resources.  Classroom sessions are available by appointment and while private sessions do not always require an appointment they are appreciated for indepth assistance.
