Welcome to Library Services and Indigenous Studies Book Club!

In honour and recognition of the original peoples of the Anishinaabek land that we are on, book club was developed as a path to reconciliation. Book club offers a safe space for reading, discussion and engagement between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, staff and faculty. Library Services and Indigenous Studies acknowledge and affirm our commitment to Indigenous education by providing this opportunity for our learning community.

What is book club?

Book club is a place to gather to read and discuss books written by Indigenous authors. It aims to be a welcoming and safe environment for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to learn from each other. Who can participate?

Staff and Faculty are invited to participate in book club. We're very sorry, but Book Club is not currently open to students.

Do you provide the book?

 Faculty and staff are encouraged to purchase a copy of the selection.

How do I register?

More information will be shared closer to the start of Book Club!

Do I have to commit to every meeting?

No! We recognize that everyone has time constraints, so you are not required to attend every meeting. Join as many or as few as you would like.
